    On 4/23/26, at approximately 11:22 a.m., Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Ward Cove Market and the Green Coffee Bean Company for a report of a female subject causing a disturbance and harassing staff and customers.

    Troopers contacted Elizabeth Franklin, 47, of Ketchikan, and advised her she was trespassed from the property and needed to leave. Franklin refused to comply with the lawful order. She was subsequently placed under arrest for Criminal Trespass II and Violating Conditions of Release.

    Franklin was transported to and remanded at the Ketchikan Correctional Center.

    On 04/24/26 at approximately 1312 hours, Alaska State Troopers (AST) received a complaint that Toni A. Daman, of Anchor Point, drove through a neighbor's yard, causing property damage. AST responded to 32930 Heddell St. in Anchor Point and contacted the property owner. Further investigation revealed Toni induced property damage at another residence and was involved in a physical altercation with her Husband. Toni was arrested at 1704 hours and transported to Homer Jail, where she was remanded on one count of Assault in the 4th Degree (DV), two counts of Criminal Trespass 1st Degree, one count of Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, and one count Criminal Mischief in the 5th Degree.

    Dispatch Text:

    On April 23, 2026, at 10:00pm, Alaska State Troopers received a report from Goodnews Bay that a three-year-old child had fallen through the ice near a culvert. Family members and village volunteers conducted an extensive search, including breaking ice around the culvert and using an excavator for approximately 1.5 hours before locating the child deceased. Next of kin were present and notified.

    Location: Aniak
    Type: Aircraft Accident

    On April 24, 2026, at 11:00am, Alaska State Troopers received a report of an airplane crash at the Aniak Airport.  The pilot and passenger left Robert’s lodge about 68 miles south of Aniak in a Fixed Wing Single Engine 185 Cessna. Upon landing on the gravel area next to the Aniak runway, the plane skidded and then flipped over.  Aniak AST, DOT, and medical personnel responded.  The pilot and passenger declined medical attention. NTSB has been notified.

    On April 24, 2026, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on Eric Scott Gonsar after observing multiple traffic violations in Fairbanks. Gonsar was found to be driving with a revoked license. He was arrested for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree and Driving While License Revoked.

    On 4-24-26 at approximately 1330 hours, the Alaska State Trooper received a report of an unexpected death. Investigation showed that Dennls Bates, age 66 of North Pole had died at his residence.  There was no foul play suspected. His next of kin have been notified

    On 04/24/2026 at approximately 0828 hours, AST received a report of a deceased person at a residence off Blackburn Ave. in Tok. Investigation revealed an expected home death and Larry M. Wade, age 81 succumbed to his underlining health issues. Next of kin was present at the time of passing and the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Anchorage was contacted and the death was reported. Wade’s remains were released to the family for funeral arrangements and Cremation Society of Alaska’s services were utilized by the family.

    On 04/24/26, the Alaska State Troopers received a report from Bailey Tucker that her dog had been stolen from her residence on Old Steese Highway North. Investigation revealed that former roommate Caryn Sisneros directed her juvenile daughter to take the dog from Tucker’s apartment, later claiming she believed the animal was being neglected, though no prior reports of abuse existed. A search warrant was obtained for Sisneros’ residence on Yuba Court, where the dog was located and safely recovered. Sisneros was charged with Theft in the 4th Degree and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
