On 4/25/2026 at approximately 0015 hours, Soldotna AST responded to the intersection of Marydale Avenue and the Kenai Spur Highway to investigate an allegation of misconduct involving a weapon. During the investigation, it was revealed that Gavin Bennett (27 of Sterling) was found to have driven to the scene while intoxicated. Bennett was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and later provided a breath sample of 0.106% BrAC. Bennett was remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility on the charge of DUI.
